MedVance Institute, with locations throughout Florida, provides educational opportunities that prepare students to enter the workforce quickly as a practical nurse, with the skills employers need. The practical nurse (PN) program at MedVance prepares the student to function as a member of a health care team. As a student in this program, you'll learn to exercise sound judgment based upon preparation, knowledge, skills, and an understanding of patients and their diseases.
A licensed practical nurse (LPN) participates and assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing needs for patients in any setting where nursing care takes place. Practical nurses provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients as they observe, record, and report findings to appropriate personnel. The practical nurse also can help to perform more specialized nursing functions such as the administration of medications and therapeutic treatments and assistance with rehabilitative care.
MedVance students receive theoretical and clinical practice to prepare them for the responsibilities that they'll face in a nursing career. In addition, MedVance graduates will be prepared to take the practical nursing licensing examination for designation as an LPN. Nationally there has been an increasing demand for LPNs to work to their full scope of practice. LPN's may find employment in acute medical-surgical areas, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care group homes and in community settings.
MedVance offers their practical nurse program at their West Palm Beach, Miami, and Stuart, Florida locations. In addition, MedVance provides access to Federal financial aid programs for those students who qualify for financial assistance.
