You can achieve an associate degree in nursing (LVN to RN) or a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (RN to BSN) from locations in Anaheim or in Los Angeles, California.
The Associate Degree in nursing program provides graduates with the ability to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The curriculum covers a wide range of topics that builds a foundation for nursing care. Graduates can work with the elderly, the mentally ill, and other individuals of all ages who require health care.
Laboratory, hands-on, and theoretical lessons provide the WCU student with essential skills and knowledge for the practicing RN. Emphasis is placed on the physical assessment of the patient, pharmacology of intravenous drugs and blood, blood component therapy, IV therapy techniques, and drug calculations of intravenous medications.
WCU designed its RN to BSN program with the professional nurse in mind, as courses are offered in time frames that fit well with a nurse's busy lifestyle.
