Arkansas is a southern state that is largely defined by its diverse geography. With the Mississippi River bordering the east and the Ozark Mountains to the north, there are a variety of scenic landscapes to be found in Arkansas. Although a very rural state, Arkansas also boasts some larger, thriving cities.
Nurses should find Arkansas to be a great place to start a career. Baptist Health Medical Centers can be found in many populated cities, making this series of hospitals the largest employer of nurses in the state. Little Rock, the state's capitol, may be the best town for nursing employment, with over 10 major health facilities that are currently hiring. A nurse can find plenty of opportunities in this growing state.
