Canada inhabits much of North America and is both a culturally and economically diverse country. A parliamentary democracy, Canada is a French and English-speaking country under the English monarchy. The United States is a large source of income for Canada, as the two countries regularly trade.
Nurses who are licensed to work in Canada will find many employment opportunities. Among the 10 Canadian provinces, Ontario contains the most hospitals and medical centers. Toronto's West Park Healthcare Centre is a 316-bed hospital with a current need for medical personnel. Another large employer for nurses in Canada is Timmins and District Hospital in Timmins, Ontario. Nurses in Canada will find many open positions throughout the country, however, both in urban and rural areas.
