Florida is a mostly tropical state that is currently experiencing a huge economic growth. A large peninsula, Florida has a wide variety of landscapes and lifestyles to accommodate many people. Southern Florida, in particular, is a melting pot of cultures and a favorite location for many tourists. It is no wonder why so many people aspire to retire in sunny Florida.
Nursing opportunities are plentiful in Florida. While there is a shortage of nurses throughout the country, a large and heavily populated state like Florida is especially eager to hire both new and experienced nurses. The Baptist Health hospital system is one of the largest in the state, boasting locations throughout Jacksonville, Pensacola and Miami. Nurses who would like a smaller workplace will find clinics and schools throughout the state with open positions.
